The various choices of materials and designs keep the practicality and affordability in mind for those selecting the services while respecting the dignity and reverence for the deceased. Provincial legislation requires that "a rigid container" must be used for cremation in Ontario. In addition to providing protection and shelter for your loved one prior to the cremation process these containers protect the safety of our staff any potential health concerns after death when handling the deceased's remains. We do not consider cardboard to be rigid nor structurally sound. Therefore, to protect the dignity of your loved one and the safety of all those who assist in conveying your loved one's remains to the crematorium, we do not offer cardbaord containers. However, our well-built containers made from solid wood and wood product are less expensive than most charge for cardboard. |
